"Recess" is a cartoon series that was launched by Disney Channel in 1997. In 2000, "Recess" won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program in the United States. In 2001, Disney adapted it into an animated movie called "Recess: School's Out." The story revolves around six characters: The mischievous T.J., who always wears a red baseball cap and causes headaches for teachers; Vince, a talented athlete and chef who knows all the latest gossip at school; Spinelli, a tomboy who excels at wrestling and is incredibly brave; Gretchen, the smart girl who is referred to as the "genius girl" by older kids; Mikey, the philosophical but food-loving chubby kid; and Gus, a newcomer from a strict military family. Together, they come from different social backgrounds and possess distinct cultures and characteristics, leading to various interesting stories that unfold in classrooms, playgrounds, and at home.
