The story takes place in the exotic Arab kingdom of Agrabah. Aladdin (played by Mena Massoud) is born into a poor family, but that does not prevent him from growing into a kind and optimistic young man. By chance, Aladdin meets Princess Jasmine (played by Naomi Scott), who is dissatisfied with her father's arranged political marriage and wishes to take the throne herself to lead the country to prosperity. The unique Princess Jasmine quickly catches Aladdin's attention, and after going through several unexpected events, they gradually come together. Jafar (played by Marwan Kenzari) is a sorcerer and also the prime minister of the kingdom, who uses cunning and coercion to force Aladdin onto a quest to find a magical lamp that can grant three wishes.
