His parents sacrificed themselves to save him, and Haimao survived by chance. During his adventures, he returns to Hutouwan, triggering long-dormant chaos, while forming a deep bond with two girls, Wu Ruoyun and Zhao Xiangyue. Propelled by the tide of the times, Haimao is introduced to the revolutionary cause by the Communist Party member Wang Tiankai. This man, standing on the forefront of the era, ultimately brings the Zhao and Wu families to reconciliation and forges a brotherhood with the pirate Black Shark, together resisting the Japanese invaders.
