Intro： Searching for people in the deep seaIn every city, 9 out of 100 people suffer from mental disturbances. Psychiatrist Gao Jing (played by Li Xinjie) prioritizes her patients' health at work and is well-liked by her colleagues. At a bookstore, she brushes past a man who buys the photography book she wanted, leaving her feeling somewhat intrigued. Xiao Kai (played by Liang Luoshi) is one of Gao Jing's patients, who, after returning from a vacation, invites her to a photography exhibition. To her surprise, she discovers that one of the photographs features her diving, and even more unexpectedly, the photographer is the man she encountered in the bookstore that day—Xiao Kai's brother, the archaeologist Chen Guodong (played by Guo Xiaodong). Guodong gifts her the book he bought that day, and the two fall in love. To propose to Gao Jing, Guodong takes her and Xiao Kai to the island of Naguo, where they dive into the deep sea to find a hidden diamond ring. However, an accident occurs, and they only recover a headless male corpse. Overwhelmed with grief, Gao Jing loses her memory of the incident, and Xiao Kai's attitude towards her grows unusually cold. Gao Jing seeks hypnosis from the director (played by Liang Jiahui), but after the hypnosis, she experiences even more hallucinations.
