 Synopsis
Police officer Ah Miao (played by Chow Yun-fat) discovers a female corpse at a gun deal site, along with a little girl named Jia Jia. In order to solve the case smoothly, he finds the deceased's sister, Ah Xue (played by Cherie Chung). At first, Ah Xue has an inexplicable fear of Ah Miao and refuses to cooperate with his work, but later, seeing how caring Ah Miao is towards Jia Jia, she gradually develops feelings for him. Meanwhile, Ah Xue's ex-husband, Ah Liang, returns and demands that Ah Xue remarry him. Since Ah Xue has fallen in love with Ah Miao, she refuses Ah Liang's request. One day, Ah Miao encounters a dizzy gunman, and after a fierce battle, he manages to arrest them, though he suffers serious injuries. Fortunately, Ah Xue takes care of him, deepening their relationship. Unexpectedly, Ah Liang moves into Ah Xue's house, and the arms smugglers also have their sights set on Ah Miao. Upon arriving at Ah Xue's home, Ah Miao is attacked by Ah Liang, and as the two fight, the thugs come chasing after them...
