Synopsis

The novel 'Demon Master' is set in a modern city under a fictional history controlled by ten major conglomerates. Hong Bingyao plays T, a gender-ambiguous sorcerer capable of traveling through time and space, who is forced into the organizational power struggle and becomes a victim of it. T assists the police in solving cases to realize her life's value. During the investigation of the 'Human Disappearance Case', T discovers that the disappearances are related to the distorted technology 'Pandora', which uses human original sin to incite fraud and murder among people, attempting to plunge the entire modern city into chaos. As T gets closer to the clues, she gradually realizes that the various societal chaos is manipulated by the ten conglomerates, and the root of everything seems to point to the artificial intelligence that brings great benefits to humanity. Thus begins a struggle for survival between humans and artificial intelligence.
