 Synopsis
The New Year's bell is about to ring, and a joyful and festive atmosphere permeates the luxury cruise ship Poseidon, sailing lonely in the North Atlantic. This is a super luxury cruise ship with 800 rooms, 13 floors tall, and a passenger capacity of over 2000 people. Under the organization of Captain Mike Bromford (played by Andre Braugher), dignitaries and social elites gather in the luxurious and bright hall to celebrate the arrival of the New Year, accompanied by exquisite food, fine wines, and gentle dancing. Meanwhile, violent tremors occur beneath the Atlantic Ocean's crust, triggering gigantic waves capable of destroying everything. In the face of nature, even the sturdiest ships must bow down. The Poseidon is overturned by the massive waves, resulting in countless lives lost. Faced with the threat of death, those who miraculously survived the first wave of disaster begin to find ways to escape. What will their fate be in the vast, desolate sea? This film is a remake of the classic disaster film 'The Poseidon Adventure' from 1972.
