'Raising Dion' tells the story of a woman named Nicole (played by Alisha Wainwright) who, after the death of her husband Mark (played by Michael B. Jordan), raises her son Dion (played by newcomer Ja'Siah Young) alone. When Dion begins to exhibit mysterious superpowers similar to those of a superhero, Nicole's ordinary life as a single mother becomes anything but mundane. Now, with the help of Mark's best friend Pat (played by Jason Ritter), Nicole must keep her son's powers a secret, protect Dion from being exploited by enemies, and uncover the source of his abilities.
