 Synopsis
A group of construction workers accidentally awakens a nine-lived cat demon sealed underground. That night, the cat demon enters the Fan Group building and begins a killing spree. Zhang Dasha (played by Liu Jialiang), a descendant of Maoshan, has been fighting against the cat demon for generations, sealing it once every fifty years for four hundred years. Zhang Dasha inherits the mission to seal the cat demon again, but he is terminally ill with cancer. Sensing the demon's emergence, he begins a hunt. On that night, Fan Group's driver Luo Jianming (played by Zheng Haonan) narrowly escapes and seeks Zhang Dasha as his master to protect himself. The cat demon grows stronger by consuming human blood, and it possesses the president of the Zheng Group and his assistant, Tina (played by Xu Shuyuan). Zhang and Luo attempt to exterminate the demon but are detained by Police Officer Hu (played by Wong Jing) on charges of causing harm. Zhang Dasha has only one of the three talisman arrows left to destroy the cat demon. The demon turns from defense to offense, causing Zhang Dasha's family to pay the price of extinction.
