The conflict with Tuco (played by Raymond Cruz) makes Walter (played by Bryan Cranston) and Jesse (played by Aaron Paul) realize the dangers and bloodshed in the drug trade. Tuco's death leaves the 'mentor and apprentice' without their only distribution channel, and Walter finds himself in a dilemma of having goods but no market. Jesse decides to expand the sales channels through his friends, and although he sees considerable gains in the short term, the subsequent unexpected events make him realize this is not a long-term solution. The relationship between Walter and his wife Skyler (played by Anna Gunn) becomes increasingly tense, while Walter's improvement in cancer brings a glimmer of hope to their relationship. Jesse meets a landlord named Jane (played by Krysten Ritter), and feelings start to develop between them. However, Jane was also a former addict; what will happen to her fate while being with Jesse?
