Synopsis

In the Uruguayan capital of Montevideo, 13-year-old Nadal is having a tough time: an annoying skin disease, parents going through a divorce, and the clumsiness and shyness he faces with girls—all these make his newly begun adolescence feel particularly lengthy. Under the oppressive and suffocating atmosphere of the Jewish community in Montevideo, director Federico Veiroj vividly depicts the world of teenage growth. Unlike many teen comedies, the protagonist Nadal has no barriers when it comes to sexual matters; coming from a wealthy family, he frequently visits brothels with a group of young boys. However, what Nadal desires most, and what is priceless to him, is to kiss a girl affectionately and genuinely.
