Female police officer Ah Ling (played by Shu Qi) has a pair of obsessive suitors, but her heart is set on the man in white who saved her in her dreams. Her friend Zuer (played by Chen Yining) gets a job shooting an advertisement in Malaysia, and a downhearted Ah Ling tags along for the trip. Bobby Chan (played by Lam Suet), who introduced Zuer to the job, is a lecherous man and secretly a middleman for black market deals. Bobby is planning to introduce a missile navigation system from big brother Pan (played by Ren Dahua), and this deal is being sabotaged by two private detectives, Brother Hua (played by Xu Shaoxiong) and Alex (played by An Zhijie), who are looking for an opportunity to disrupt it. Alex mistakenly thinks that Ah Ling is Bobby Chan's trading partner, while Ah Ling believes that Alex is her dream hero, leading both of them to pursue a relationship with different intentions. Meanwhile, a Hong Kong petty thief named Ah Xie (played by Chapman To) accidentally disrupts the deal between Bobby Chan and Big Brother Pan, causing various parties to get tangled in conflict and misunderstanding...
