 Synopsis
During the Taisho era, the geisha Hana Kiyo (played by Junko Miyashita) was determined to bear a child for her patron and then marry him as his wife. However, despite three years together, Hana Kiyo had not given birth to a single child. In contrast, her patron's other favored geisha, Tayu (played by Moeko Esawa), gave birth to a baby boy and transformed into a dignified lady. Consumed by jealousy, Hana Kiyo seized the opportunity under the pretext of visiting to kidnap the baby. Fast forward to the Showa era. Hana Kiyo runs a brothel alone in Omori, with two beautiful young geishas, Ko Fuku (played by Akira Serizawa) and Ko Yaeko (played by Ai Yoshino). The baby boy from those years has grown into a young man, named Shotarō (played by Hiroshi Nakazawa), who has been influenced by the world of the red-light district from a young age. Worried he would go down the wrong path, Hana Kiyo sent him to learn at a movie theater operated by her patron, Shimamura (played by Akira Hanagami), not realizing this would open the door to Shotarō's sexual awakening...
