Xu Huai Gu (played by Xu Guan Wen) is a fortune teller by profession, but he actually just collects information about his clients in advance and uses their psychology, earning him the title of 'Master of Fortune Telling.' The wife of the tax bureau director suspects her husband is having an affair and comes to seek a reading, during which Xu Huai Gu accurately guesses the name of the suspected mistress. After being scolded by his wife, the director decides to send tax auditor Qiu Hao Ji (played by Li Ming) to investigate Xu Huai Gu's income. During the investigation, Xu accidentally gains supernatural abilities after a head injury, allowing him to see others' futures by touching their hands or feet. Hao Ji, eager for a promotion, requests Xu Huai Gu to get close to businessman Hong Sen, hoping to find evidence of his tax evasion.
