Synopsis

The old gentleman (played by Qiao Hong) has three sons. The eldest, Lao Liang (played by Huang Baiming), is so busy with work that he neglects his virtuous wife, Xianshu (played by Wu Yongwei), who manages everything at home but is misunderstood by her husband as having an affair. The second son, Lao Fei, uses studying as an escape from real life; he has a simple personality and yearns for love, but gets hurt, until he later meets Xiao Lian (played by Wu Qianlian) from the north. It happens to be the birthday of the third son, Lao Gong, who is usually wicked and promiscuous. His two brothers give him a lottery ticket as a birthday gift, pretending it is a real ticket, when it is actually an expired winning ticket. Believing it to be true, he ends up in massive debt. To make matters worse, he gets into a car accident and suffers a concussion, leading him to become increasingly deranged...
