As the New Year arrives, Elaine (played by Eva Birthistle) and her husband Jonah (played by Stephen Campbell Moore) drive to the countryside with their three children, Kathy (played by Hannah Tointon), Miranda (played by Eva Sayer), and Polly (played by William Howes) to spend the New Year with Elaine's sister Chloe (played by Rachel Shelley) and her family. Only Elaine's eldest daughter, Kathy, is a bit gloomy as she cannot attend a gathering with her friends. The children, who haven't seen each other for a long time, play joyfully, and the adults engage in pleasant conversations, but the cheerful atmosphere slowly becomes tainted by unsettling factors. First, Polly becomes silent and withdrawn, then Miranda also shows signs of unease, and soon other children start to behave strangely. The adults completely fail to notice the changes in the children, merely using harsh and dismissive methods to address the situation. The next day during the family meal, the children suddenly fall into chaos and fear. The innocent angels transform into terrifying devils that make the adults tremble with unease... This film received a special mention at the 2009 International Fantasy Film Festival in Portugal.
