The jury duty show, titled "Jury Duty," featuring James Marsden as "Steve," will premiere on April 7th with four episodes released initially, concluding the season on April 21st. This series will be a multi-camera comedy set in a courtroom, blending documentary elements. It follows a juror named Ronald Gladden as the perspective, documenting the inner workings of the jury trial system. Ronald is unaware that the entire case is fake; everyone except him is an actor, including James, and everything that happens—inside and outside the courtroom—is meticulously planned. This highly secretive project was first revealed last September and promises to be a unique, genre-defying story that places the audience in the observation of the jury's decision-making process; it may mimic the styles of Sacha Baron Cohen in "Borat" and other works (with several producers he has previously collaborated with also in the creative team), Nathan Fielder, and more, relying on unscripted interactions and unpredictable trajectories created by James and the cast.
