Inspector Gallien is investigating the case of two little girls who were raped and murdered. The only suspect is lawyer Jerome Martino, but the accusations against him are based on circumstantial evidence. As the city celebrates New Year's Eve, Gallien calls Martino to his office and interrogates him for several hours, while Martino insists on his innocence throughout. We learned about all the evidence; we met Martino's wife and understood the rift between them; but will Gallien and we ultimately know whether Martino is guilty?
