Julie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and three other high school students arrive in a beautiful seaside city for a wild graduation getaway. However, in a tragic turn of events, the four of them accidentally hit and kill a pedestrian while speeding down a dark highway. In a panic, they decide to throw the body into the sea and vow to keep the incident a secret. What began as a joyful trip ends in gloom.
