The troubled Li Junshuo (played by Zhu Xiangyu) was born into a working-class family, with a sick grandmother at home needing care. At the high school he attended, he was bullied by the outstanding Jiang Changzhi (played by Yang Donggun), who was popular due to his family's wealth. Junshuo endured the humiliation, silently complying with Changzhi's instructions to do various annoying tasks. However, Changzhi and his friends showed no signs of relenting; they escalated their torment and cruelly insulted Junshuo's girlfriend, Yin Suen, leading her to commit suicide. Years later, the now isolated Junshuo struggles to find a job and faces a difficult life. On an unexpected day, he encounters Changzhi, the person responsible for his life's tragedy.
