During the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty, the heavily guarded imperial treasury was raided by bandits who stole two million taels of gold. The notorious chief constable known as "Ten Thousand Kills", Cold Tianying (played by Chen Guantai), was tasked with capturing the bandits led by Fang Fengjia (played by Gu Feng) within ten days. During the capture, Fang Fengjia dispatched numerous bandits disguised as villagers to launch surprise attacks on Cold Tianying and his subordinates, resulting in heavy losses for them. Cold also suffered severe injuries in a sudden ambush, almost reaching a desperate situation. At that moment, he learned a tremendous secret... This film's screenplay is adapted from the famous kung fu film director Zhang Che's 1969 movie "Iron Hands without Mercy".
