Six missing astronauts attempt to escape from this supposedly dead planet. After waking up on the forest-covered planet of Ansemusa, the team's new member Caleb (played by Antony Nikolchev) cannot remember how or why he landed on this planet, which was covered in dry sand prior to his arrival. He encounters a group of colonists led by Hunter (played by Veronica Wiley), who are facing the same problem but have yet to find a way out. Worse, their mission commander Victor (played by Eric Roberts) is missing, appearing before the team in the form of a floating head, speaking in mysterious riddles and phrases. The team believes Victor has found a way out, and thus they search for a 'door'—an image that appears to them during meditation. Caleb learns to meditate, using this technique to track Victor's whereabouts, as Victor speaks to the team from an unknown place, where there is a mysterious 'door.' When the team catches up to Victor, they discover not just a way out.
