The story takes place in the Edo period. To escape from unpleasant memories, the beautiful and agile girl Akin (played by Haru) comes to work as a maid in her uncle Ibei's (played by Shirō Sano) bag store, Mishimaya. She is diligent and hardworking, earning the affection of everyone at Mishimaya. By chance, Akin replaces her uncle to receive a scheduled guest. The guest appears flustered and hesitant to speak. Confident that she can help resolve others' worries, Akin takes on the role of a listener. However, the guest unfolds a haunting and bizarre story about the 'Flower of the Dead,' the Manjusaka.
