Betrayal: Undercover Criminal (Mandarin)

Continuing from the ending of the TV series "The Unseen Sniper," Liang Xiaotang (played by Xie Tianhua) is convicted of murdering Su Xingbai (played by Huang Zongze) and sentenced to life imprisonment. While in prison, Liang Xiaotang meets university professor Huo Tianren (played by Wu Zhenyu), who appears gentle and unassuming but is capable of ensnaring the extremely dangerous 'Juchuan' (played by Lin Xue) using psychological traps. In fact, the professor is a high-IQ criminal psychologist who excels at cold reading, able to uncover others' psychological activities and secrets, thus controlling them silently. A mysterious woman (played by Wen Yongshan) visits Liang Xiaotang in prison; she belongs to a security bureau that is even higher than the police force. It turns out that Liang Xiaotang's imprisonment is a cover for her to take on an undercover role again. The day Su Xingbai was murdered, someone else was responsible. The deputy director of the security bureau (played by Mai Changqing) suspects that the entire incident is linked to a group of corrupt police officers hidden within the police force and uses Liang Xiaotang's imprisonment to conduct an investigation. Liang Xiaotang actively approaches her prison target, former drug investigation section leader 'Daqie' (played by Du Wenzuo). Just as she is about to make progress, she discovers that the professor is also using psychological therapy methods to drive 'Daqie' into repeated psychological chaos, ultimately sending him death signals. A fierce confrontation involving blurred lines between allies and enemies, justice and evil, explosively unfolds under extremely unequal circumstances.
