This film is a work of realism. It tells the stories of three families affected by autism (both children and adults) through the perspective of university graduate intern Li Nan. Among them, Zhang Zhixin performs excellently in her new job and marries the boss's son Dong Shao without fear of societal judgment, but chooses to leave everything when her daughter Xiao Ya is diagnosed with autism. Chen Lihua, a divorced woman from Jiangsu, supports herself by working as a caretaker and struggles to raise her autistic son Song Song, who is now in his thirties. After several battles against fate and despite her efforts, she eventually succumbs to poverty and illness, leaving this world with her son. The idealized plot and ending of the film provide more light and hope for the broader autism community.
