The renowned director Andrew Stanton, who has won an Oscar, presents his new work "John Carter", an epic action-adventure film set against the mysterious and magnificent backdrop of Mars. The film is adapted from the classic science fiction novel "A Princess of Mars" by Edgar Rice Burroughs, written in the early 20th century. The story follows John Carter (played by Taylor Kitsch), a former officer traumatized by the American Civil War, who accidentally travels to Mars. Due to the different gravity, John becomes a superman with incredible strength and the ability to leap great distances, thus getting embroiled in conflicts among several local tribes, navigating between the beautiful princess Dejah Thoris (played by Lynn Collins), the brave ally Tars Tarkas (played by Willem Dafoe), and the cunning enemy Sab Than. However, the pain brought by the raging war on Earth has left John disillusioned and unwilling to fight; even though various tribes see him as the key to saving Mars, can he truly leave his past behind, take on the heavy responsibility of protecting the people, and save this troubled world, changing the fate of the alien battleground?
