The famous work "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains" by the Yuan Dynasty painter Huang Gongwang is hailed as one of the "Top Ten Classic Chinese Paintings." For various reasons, the "Remaining Mountain Picture" and the "Master Wu Yong Scroll" have been separated across the Taiwan Strait, looking at each other across the sea. In 2011, there was hope for the two paintings to be displayed together, but this precious masterpiece, valued at a staggering one billion, attracted the attention of criminals from various countries. Earlier, the "Master Wu Yong Scroll" was stolen in Taiwan, and the notorious Japanese artifact smuggler Yamamoto Toshio (played by Tong Dawei) set his sights on the "Remaining Mountain Picture" hidden in Hangzhou. Meanwhile, domestic antiquities dealers, including the old Empress (played by Siqin Gaowa) and others from Europe and America, gathered around, eager to make a move. Amidst the chaos of greed and danger, Hong Kong police's Anti-Smuggling Department agent Xiao Jinhang (played by Andy Lau) joins forces with the enigmatic Wang Xueqing (played by Lin Chi-ling) to confront smugglers led by Yamamoto in various corners of the world, continuously battling with their lives on the line.
