Young Tie Jiao San was sent by his critically ill father to live with a former martial arts companion in town. He inadvertently got into trouble, first mingling with a snake oil scam gang, and then getting into a fight with an old drunkard. Upon reaching his destination, Tie Jiao San discovered that the leader of the snake oil gang was a friend of his father's. He joined the gang but could not accept the wrongdoings they asked him to commit; ultimately, he was beaten to death. Fortunately, he was saved by the beautiful Cai Jiao, who hid him away with her alcoholic uncle, her leprosy-stricken aunt, and at a Shaolin temple. During this time, Tie Jiao San learned some new martial arts skills, which came in handy, as soon after, the gang caught up with him, intending to end his life once and for all.
