Synopsis

This film is touted as Vietnam's first major martial arts movie. The story takes place in the mid-15th century, where King Lạng Sơn stages a coup, killing his half-brother Lê Nhân Tông and Empress Nguyễn Thị Xuân, and after seizing power, he engages in extreme tyranny, provoking loyal ministers and martial arts heroes to rebel against him, ultimately leading to his overthrow. The Nguyễn Vũ family is exterminated by the Vietnamese king, with Nguyễn Vũ being the sole survivor. Nguyễn Vũ discovers that his family was framed for being involved in a conspiracy and crimes unrelated to them. He is determined to restore justice and redeem his family's honor.
