Lee Young-ae may star in the new female action thriller drama "The Amazing Joo Kyung-hee" (경이로운구경이, tentative title). "The Amazing Joo Kyung-hee" will be the Korean version of "Killing Eve." The drama is directed by Lee Jung-hoon (known for "Nobody Knows") and written by a rookie screenwriting team from the variety show background. The story revolves around a female protagonist, who is a former police officer turned investigator, engaged in a tense battle with a murderous female college student after her husband's death. Lee Young-ae will portray the suspicious main character, a new type of detective with a hunched back, sunken eyes, and sagging skin, who walks like a ghost and often wears a long coat that reaches her ankles. She may not know how much water to use for steaming rice, but she knows how to catch criminals and possesses an extraordinary intellect. However, once the case is over, she just wants to go home, drink, and eat peanuts. During her investigations, she uses any means necessary; a single drink can replenish her energy and stamina, enabling her to make incredible deductions. Lee Young-ae's agency has stated that discussions are ongoing. If confirmed, this will mark her return to television after a four-year hiatus.
