Deep in a national forest park in Norway, there is a cold and eerie inn. Twelve years ago, a couple who ran the inn and their children went missing one after another, casting a mysterious and terrifying veil over the place, making it a perfect destination for young people seeking thrills and adventure. One day in 1988, six young people, including Mag (played by Pal Stokka), Nat (played by Sturla Valldal Rui), Simon (played by Arthur Berning), Anders (played by Kim Falck-Jorgensen), Haida (played by Ida Marie Bakkerud), and Srey (played by Julie Rusti), decided to vacation in the mountains. The atmosphere of the inn made Srey feel very uneasy, and at her strong insistence, they gave up their plan to stay overnight at the inn and opted to camp by the lake instead. At night, Srey and Nat, who had feelings for each other, secretly met and accidentally fell into a hunting trap, leaving Nat severely injured. Soon after, he was killed by a mysterious man.
