The Season 8 premiere takes place eight weeks after the avalanche at the lonely fortress in the Arctic, where LutherCorp has tracked down Lex's whereabouts. At the same time, members of the Justice League, including Green Arrow, Black Canary, and Aquaman, have united once again to search for Clark, who has lost his powers due to the collapse of the fortress. As the series progresses, Clark's new job at the Daily Planet also sees him and Lois bustling around. The two of them form a team to defend the peace of Metropolis. Sometimes Lois becomes Clark's biggest obstacle, especially when he is caught between life and death. The close collaboration and the sparks that fly between Clark and Lois often take them by surprise. Meanwhile, Clark also begins to realize that he must master the art of discretion to conceal his dual identity as a reporter and a superhero. Even though Lex is dead, the Luthor building has not been emptied. The recent resident is the con artist Tess Mercer, who begins to take over LuthorCorp and all its projects, including the investigation of Daily Planet, based on Lex's instructions. Tess has an indescribable cunning and mysteriously appears in the lives of our characters. It won't be long before Tess's attention turns to Clark. However, Clark is also aware of her intentions and is well aware of her past actions and new mysterious veils.
