A widowed British writer brings back a young and charming bride to his secluded country cottage in Spain. She quickly becomes enamored with her 12-year-old stepson and learns that he has just been expelled from school for some incredible disciplinary issues. Meanwhile, the boy eagerly exploits and encourages her infatuation with him. He is clearly a smart but lonely child. But is he a victim of this neurotic woman's unrealistic fantasies?
