 Synopsis
In the northern region of Tuscany, Italy, there is a spa town called Montecatini. The young and beautiful female doctor Elia arrives to take over from the recently deceased old doctor. She brings a new trend to this tourist resort long shrouded in a religiously conservative atmosphere, advocating for moral liberalization by setting an example herself. For a while, under Elia's influence, the troubled mayor's wife Rosalba, unhappy with her 'unfortunate' situation, attempts to push beyond moral boundaries, while the conflicted mayor Giordano, unable to assert his authority, harbors secret intentions to let Elia work her magic...
