Synopsis

Uncle Piao (played by Dong Piao), who works at a newspaper, brings his family to Canada for work. The family of five is fully engaged in their new environment and new life, but Uncle Piao is fired after offending his boss. Since his eldest daughter and second daughter (played by Li Lizhen) have already started their studies, he has no choice but to bring his wife Aunt Piao (played by Shen Diansha) and their youngest daughter back to Hong Kong to continue living, and life becomes even harder than before. Aunt Piao accidentally discovers a winning lottery ticket from Canada, with a prize of 20 million Canadian dollars. Due to not having enough money to go to Canada, Uncle Piao reluctantly borrows money from his former boss, who is also struggling due to the economic crisis and tries to seize Uncle Piao's lottery ticket. The Piao family fiercely fights back to keep the ticket but is unable to arrive before the deadline to claim the prize. The family is heartbroken and tearful, and amidst their sadness, they realize there is a time difference, and the ticket claim time has not yet expired.
