Detective Li Guoqiang (played by Yu Wenle) killed the serial killer Chen Fulai but was shot multiple times himself and is in critical condition. He recuperated in the hospital for forty-nine days, but upon discharge, he was informed that he had been reassigned to the Miscellaneous Department, simply because his testimony contained some scientifically unexplainable supernatural phenomena. Upon arriving at the Miscellaneous Department, Li Guoqiang encountered Inspector Huang (played by Zheng Yijian), a slightly overweight and alcoholic middle-aged man who told him that unlike other departments, the Miscellaneous Department specifically deals with so-called 'supernatural events.' However, to survive in this department, one must hold a firm belief: the first commandment: 'There are no ghosts in this world!' Yet, ghosts do exist in this world, as several bizarre suicide cases that have occurred over the past month caught Li Guoqiang's attention. Through investigation, he discovered that it was the vengeful spirit of Chen Fulai, who still harbored murderous intent. He can possess anyone by touching them and manipulate their bodies as he wishes. In order to subdue the murderer, Li SIR teamed up with Huang SIR for a thrilling chase. However, at this moment, Li Guoqiang gradually became unsure about Huang SIR, who has been supporting him all along—whether he is an ally or an enemy.
