This drama is adapted from a manga of the same name, telling the story of Yukiya (played by Watanabe), the second son of the renowned Ise financial conglomerate, who grows up as the child of his father’s mistress while facing persecution from relatives. Yukiya, who leaves home to become independent, meets the woman destined for him, Erika (played by Takimoto), and experiences 'happiness' for the first time in his life. The two marry, believing that such happiness will last forever. However, Erika is willing to go to any lengths to get what she wants. To claim the Ise conglomerate for herself, she becomes pregnant with Yukiya's brother Masayuki's child and remarries him.
