The last love, the first love

A Japanese man, Hayase (played by Atsurou Watanabe), whose heart has been severely wounded by betrayal in friendship and love, is sent to work at a branch company in Shanghai by a Japanese car company. Depressed, he meets a pair of sisters in Shanghai. The older sister, Fang Min (played by Xue Jinglei), is beautiful, gracious, intelligent, and kind; the younger sister, Fang Lin (played by Dong Jie), is lively, cute, and youthful. Fang Min develops feelings for this melancholic gentleman, while Fang Lin also falls in love with this handsome man from another country, enthusiastically flirting with Hayase and completely ignoring her childhood friend, Ah De (played by Chen Bolin), who has deep feelings for her. Hayase, whose heart is like stagnant water, gradually becomes touched by the understanding and gentle kindness of Fang Min, while rejecting Fang Lin. However, after Fang Min learns that she is terminally ill, she repeatedly refuses Hayase's love. But eventually, she is moved by this heartfelt man, and the two embrace tightly. Upon learning about her sister's romance with Hayase, Fang Lin harshly criticizes Fang Min, leaving her heartbroken. Fang Min's condition gradually worsens, and after discovering the truth, Fang Lin confesses to her sister. With the man who loves her deeply by her side, Fang Min shows a quiet smile and peacefully leaves this world in her lover's arms.
