The story tells the story of a crime novelist Charles (Dan Stevens) who encounters a writing obstacle. He invites a weird mystic (Judy Dench) to perform a scatter for inspiration. As a result, the ghost of his ex-wife (Leslie Mann) is accidentally summoned, and the ghost wants to kill Charles so that they can reunite in the next life.And his current wife Ruth (Ela Fischer) can't see the ghost and is worried that her husband is completely crazy.
