In the early years of the Republic, Puyi, the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty, was controlled by the Japanese, and a puppet Manchukuo government was established in the north. Japanese figures Itagaki Seiji and Kawashima Yoshiko set up a poison gas base, ruthlessly torturing the Chinese people. Cai Cai had served in the military and practiced medicine, and one day, at the request of the locals, he ventured into the jungle to rescue people. The journey was fraught with danger, and upon arrival, he discovered a group of soldiers affected by poison gas. Uncle Cai tried to rescue them, but their leader did not survive. Before dying, he entrusted the responsibility of resisting the enemy to Meng Dahai. Eager to serve his country, Uncle Cai attempted to enlist but was rejected. He secretly entered the palace, disguised as a cook, and reunited with Meng Dahai and others. Their aim was to find the map of the poison gas base while searching for the 'Jiang River No. 1 Tianfeng', but their actions were discovered by Itagaki Seiji and Kawashima Yoshiko. Thus, Uncle Cai and Tianfeng and the others fled to another location, during which Uncle Cai rescued a girl named Lan. The group gathered their strength and prepared to launch a major offensive against the poison gas base, resulting in numerous fierce battles and ultimately achieving victory.
