Kate Cooper (played by Daisy Edgar-Jones) was once a storm chaser, but a traumatic experience with a tornado in college left her troubled. Now she studies storm patterns in her New York office. At the urging of her friend Harvey (played by Anthony Ramos), she returns to the outdoors to test a groundbreaking new storm-chasing system. There, she unexpectedly encounters super influencer Tyler Owens (played by Glen Powell). The reckless yet charismatic Tyler leads a team in chasing storms and live-streaming their experiences online, thriving on the adrenaline of increasingly intense storms. As storm season arrives, unprecedented and terrifying storms begin to occur more frequently. Kate, Tyler, and their team must race against time to survive as they navigate the intersection of multiple tornadoes.
