Five years of pursuit turned into bubbles, and with the closing of The X-Files, Fox Mulder (played by David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (played by Gillian Anderson) were forced to transfer to handle some mundane cases. One day, there was an explosion in Dallas, Texas. Although Mulder and Scully made every effort to evacuate the crowd inside the office building, the explosion claimed the lives of four innocent people, which led to criticism from their superiors. However, shortly after, Mulder learned that the four victims had actually died before the explosion; the so-called explosion was merely a scheme implemented by a mysterious department to cover up evidence. This department is said to have been engaged in alien research for many years, and their research is sufficient to lead to the destruction of humanity. The two partners decided to investigate this matter thoroughly, but a mysterious and irresistible force constantly obstructed their pursuit of the truth... This film is the first theatrical version of the eponymous American TV series.
