The film is remade from the same name by Kurosawa Kiyoshi in 1998. The original story tells the story of a man's daughter being brutally tortured, so he recruits another man to help him find out the truth and retaliate against the murderer who killed his daughter.The French version is starring Yuki Shibasaki and Damian Bonnar. The protagonist becomes a woman (played by Yuki Shibasaki), and the place where the story takes place is also changed to France.
