Jack Strachan is a suspicious former sports star hiding in Norway, being followed by a mysterious woman who bears a striking resemblance to his murdered wife, Veronica, and he cannot identify her. He is convinced she has malicious intentions and is determined to uncover her true identity, forcing himself to relive the tragic events, ultimately confronting the demons that initially drove him underground, including the violent accomplice Karim who brutally killed Veronica.
