The series depicts the year 1942, during Showa 17, when Japan massively conscripted Taiwanese youth from the colonized Taiwan to monitor Allied prisoners of war captured in the war for the Japanese army; these Taiwanese prison guards became embroiled in a cold-blooded massacre and were accused by Allied prosecutors of committing the crime of "mistreatment of prisoners of war." Some of them never had the opportunity to return to Taiwan again, while others did return but no longer spoke of the events that took place on the island. The entire series consists of 5 episodes and is scheduled to be aired in 2024.
