Synopsis

As an Asian financial center, Hong Kong is dubbed the 'safest city.' However, the police received an anonymous phone call claiming that a frontline police vehicle along with five officers and their weapons had been hijacked. This incident drew significant attention from the senior management of the Hong Kong police force. The Commissioner (played by Wang Mindong) was on an overseas visit at the time, leaving the hawkish Deputy Commissioner Lee Wenbin (played by Leung Ka-fai) and the young management Deputy Commissioner Liu Jiahui (played by Aaron Kwok) in charge of the case, which was dubbed 'Cold War,' with Lee Wenbin as the overall commander. Lee Wenbin's son (played by Eddie Peng) was also one of the hostages, leading Liu Jiahui to suspect the relationship between the father and son. Meanwhile, the criminals escalated their actions: police officers were killed, and bombings became frequent... Who is truly manipulating the entire police force? Is Hong Kong really the 'safest city'?
