Hong Kong police officer Li Zhongzhi (played by Louis Koo) learns that his daughter Zhi (played by Hannah Chan) has mysteriously gone missing while on vacation in Thailand, so he goes to Thailand to report her disappearance. The Chinese agent in charge of the case, Cui Jie (played by Ng Yu), agrees to let him join the investigation, but unexpectedly, Li Zhongzhi uses the media to call on the public for clues. A video capturing Zhi being abducted is uploaded to the police website but is mysteriously deleted. Cui Jie, along with his friend and fellow officer Tak (played by Tony Jaa), sets out to find the source of the video, but they encounter mysterious individuals who attempt to destroy the evidence. As they confront each other, a chase ensues, leading to a fight. Li Zhongzhi and Cui Jie progressively investigate, only to discover that there is more to the case than meets the eye, and they begin to realize that the mysterious forces behind the murderer are beyond their capabilities to confront.
