 Synopsis
Young Okita Kosuke (played by Matsumoto Jun) works at an advertising agency and follows his senior to visit a client, only to unexpectedly reunite with his first love, Watarai Mao (played by Ueno Juri), at the client's company. Years ago, Kosuke (played by Kitamura Takumi) studied in Enoshima, where a cute but not very bright girl named Mao (played by Aoi Wakana) suddenly transferred to his class. When Mao was bullied, Kosuke decisively stepped in to help her, and from then on they studied, chatted, and kissed together, with their innocent love quietly blossoming in the sunshine until Kosuke suddenly moved away. Ten years have not severed the bond between Kosuke and Mao, and their love is rekindled with passion and warmth. They fall in love and marry. Just when everything seems to be heading towards a happy future, Mao's health suddenly deteriorates rapidly. Little does Kosuke know that he will uncover a sorrowful secret that he cannot let go of... This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Yoshinori Osawa.
