American Horror Story Season 4

The story is set in the 1950s. Former German cabaret star Elsa Mars (played by Jessica Lange) organizes a troupe of performers made up of monstrosities to run a freak show in Jupiter, Florida. As the popularity of the freak show declines, Elsa seeks to win back the audience by bringing in conjoined twins Bette and Dot (played by Sarah Paulson), who both have two heads. The main members of the freak show include 'Lobster Boy' Jimmy Darling (played by Evan Peters), Jimmy's bearded mother Ethel (played by Kathy Bates), and 'Three-Breasted' Desiree (played by Angela Bassett), among others. Already marginalized by society, the freaks face external pressures and various troubles: the conjoined sisters are taken in for questioning by the police as murder suspects; the spoiled, psychopathic rich kid Dandy Mott (played by Finn Wittrock) obsessively pursues the conjoined sisters, delighting in bloody murders; con artist Stanley (played by Denis O'Hare) and Maggie (played by Emma Roberts) gain the trust of the freak show to infiltrate it, with the intention of harvesting their organs for profit; and seemingly harmless Elsa has sinister motives, willing to betray or even murder the freaks to cover up her schemes.
