In 1977, the thirteenth day of the seventh lunar month.The seven children made a poisonous oath in the abandoned house, making an appointment to gather once every year on the 14th day of the seventh lunar calendar.In 1993, the seventh day of the seventh lunar month.A man and woman died bizarrely, and the detective Officer Zhou (played by Zhou Wenjian) and his new partner (played by Liu Qingyun) were ordered to investigate.During the investigation and tracking, the two found that the wife of the male deceased (played by Tao Dayu) Jiayi (played by Chen Mingzhen), the most suspected, and many of the clues she provided were difficult to get a reasonable explanation.The two took Jiayi to continue pursuing this bizarre death case and found that she was one of the seven children who had made poison oaths back then, and the other five people who had also made poison oaths were dead.As they investigated in depth, the two discovered all kinds of incredible strange things, and everyone related to her was either missing or killed.The poisonous oath they made in their childhood seemed to be fulfilling one by one.This film won three awards: Best Actor Nomination, Best Supporting Actress Nomination and Best New Actor Nomination at the 13th Hong Kong Film Awards in 1994.
